Friends talking over coffee in a café

A brief history

How we got here

13 Weeks takes its name from the 13 weeks of UK school holidays — the stretch of the year when founder Bolupe Maborukoje, then a teacher, would travel, discover new cultures and share what she found.

She started a travel blog, then a travel company. For six years 13 Weeks lived online: holidays, group trips and destination events planned from a laptop, not a shopfront.

In 2026 she opened a physical space at 2 King Street, Cambridge. That space became 13 Weeks Café — an independent, woman-owned café where travel, food and community sit under one roof.

The menu still moves with the calendar. Every 13 weeks it changes. New season. New flavours. New stories.
